Five Cheap Beach Vacation Ideas

Ready for a cheap beach vacation? Here are five ideas to get you started.

The typical trip to a beach resort is expensive, to say the least. How, then, can you find a cheap beach vacation? Start by identifying what you really want.

Do you really need to stay at a big resort? If that’s important to you, and you still want to save some money on your trip, you need to be flexible on dates a bit. Try the “shoulder season” (just before the season gets going or right after it starts to wind down). Often there are deals that save you as much as 50% at these times. Also, you can just keep checking different dates for both plane tickets and hotels. Sometimes the difference of a day or two can save you hundreds of dollars.

Backpacking: As Easy as 1-2-3

Backpacking isn’t complicated. In fact, its simplicity is what makes it
so attractive. With only your pack on your back, there are no limits to
what you can do or see. Many hostels provide self-catering kitchens and
most provide meals.

I Love Touring Italy - Southern Veneto

If you are looking for a European tourist destination, consider the Veneto region of northern Italy on the Gulf of Venice. Venice is its best-known city and one of the most popular tourist destinations on earth. But the Veneto region is a lot more than this great city. There are excellent tourist attractions elsewhere, and you won’t have to fight the huge crowds. With a little luck you’ll avoid tourist traps, and come back home with the feeling that you have truly visited Italy. This article examines tourist attractions in southern Veneto. Be sure to read our companion articles on northern Veneto, on that Shakespearean city of Verona, and on the university city of Padua.

Consider Dude Ranch Vacations

Most people have never even considered taking a dude ranch vacation with their family. They may be making a big mistake by not thinking about this fun trip, because it offers quite a bit to the family, including wide open spaces, horseback riding, and fresh mountain air. There is nothing else that is quite like taking one of the many farm holidays that you can choose from. There are some things that you will want to keep in mind when planning your trip, though.

Travel - A Continental Christmas

What smells do you associate with Christmas? Pine trees, minces pies, mulled wine, bratwurst?

Every year, thousands of us flock to Christmas markets - known as Christkindlmarkt - in the UK and in Europe. With a wide variety of exotic food, drink and hand-made gifts available, these markets help to add a continental feel to Christmas. It’s Christmas market season, but not just in Germany, for continental markets have been a growing industry in the UK over the last century.

These markets offer a change from the hustle-and-bustle of the busy high street, giving shoppers the opportunity to break away from the busy shopping and sample some warming food and drink from our European neighbours.

Global Resorts Network - An Improvement On Timeshares?

There has been a lot of buzz lately surrounding Global Resorts Network and I decided to take a closer look at this company. This is the report of my findings. Global Resorts Network is the brainchild of Chuck Tomlin, a real estate developer, and Al Morales, a successful timeshare salesman. The company was formed in late 2006 and formally launched in March 2007. Mr. Tomlin and Mr. Morales negotiated an alliance with an established full-service travel agency that has been offering a private travel club membership for the past 20 years. They have stated in company conference calls that they were excited about the benefits of membership and impressed by the exceptional customer service offered by the travel agency. Global Resorts Network is a company created to handle the exclusive marketing of the luxury travel club membership via the internet.

Christmas Markets Germany

We arrive in Munich and our guide makes it clear this is Bavaria. Bavarians favor autonomy from Germany and even have their own language. I have been here many times but looking through sober eyes now, I find it more vibrant, clean and sophisticated. We spend 2 days with Nancy, an excellent guide who has already emailed me to remain in touch.

I have a mini-group of just 26 so this is like a vacation for me. It is a first time abroad for some and I love to learn from them as they notice things with child-like enthusiasm that I do not.

Safaris In Johannesburg South Africa

Among all the countries in the world, South Africa has to be one of the most breath taking places to visit whether it be for it’s geographical and cultural diversity or for the abundance of wild animals it has for you to see. There are several different types of safaris that you can experience on your visit the majority lasting for the duration of 8 days.

Fiji - History Of Paradise

History of Fiji
Though relatively small, Fiji has quite a history. Long before European explorers discovered the islands of paradise in the south that it is now, the first inhabitants of Fiji arrived from South East Asia. Pottery excavated from Fijian towns showed that Fiji was settled before or around 1000 BC by Pacific immigrants. In 1643, The Dutch explorer Abel Tasman visited Fiji while looking for the Great Southern Continent yet it was not until the nineteenth century that Europeans settled the islands permanently. In 1874, it came under British control as a colony and was granted independence in 1970.
